Salvaged Earth Rustic Abstract Globe

By Renee Parker | 8 comments 8 comments

Details

This is a globe I sculpted in basic pulp. I loosely illustrated the continents in acrylic paint, then glazed the surface for a crackled effect.

approx. 5.5in (13.5cm)
in stand, 9.25in (25cm)

I really love your globes. You've gotten the aged look just right. It really looks like a globe found from an old forgotten library!

Thanks Joey!
I like challenging myself with these. Attempting them freaks me out a little, because I'm never sure I'll be happy with the end result. I make them one at a time because they require a bit of focus on my part. But I think I'll keep making them for a while, hopefully getting better with each one!

I saw your work on another site and I just want you to know the globe is beautiful. I so admire your work.
