Papier mache tree

Hi guys. I want to make a small papier mache tree. About 20 cm tall and the width would be relative to the height. I want to know how to make the armature. I want to make this tree without leaves (A tree in the winter when it has lost it's leaves)

Guys please reply fast to this post. Thanks a lot.

Re: Papier mache tree

the easiest would be wire, a piece of wood, and a screw. use a piece of wood as the base. take a piece of wire for the trunk of the tree and make a small loop the the bottom. screw it to the base. you can add limbs and branches out of wires cut to size and tape.

Re: Papier mache tree

You can also make them in cardboard slits..just trace the tree you would like on a cardboard then make about the same tree but with different branches on another..cut both tree's than make a slit half way from the bottom to the middle on one of them and the reverse top to middle on the other..slide one tree on the other by the slit and tape the base down on a piece of wood or cardboard and you have yourself a basic tree form : ) the fun part about making a base form like this is that you can add more branches by simply passing wires in the card board.
