I have just been inspired to play with paper mache for no other reason than boredom.

I last did anything with paper mache at school (40 years ago) and so made a big elephant money box round a balloon as this was familiar.

I have finished him and have started on a cat and wanted to put her (cat) outside which was when I found this site.

I seached making 'paper mache water proof' and the tips are brilliant. The tests with different little people was so helpful.

Thanks for all the contrubutions that have been added they are great.
