A site to sell crafts

In the process of researching something else, I came across this site:

http://www.etsy.com/

Apparently it will let people sell anything as long as its handmade. Has anyone tried it?

Re: A site to sell crafts

Connie,
I sell on Etsy under this link http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5840794
They charge a percentage (not sure how much) when something sells and 20 cents to list an item for 4 months. You can post up to 5 pictures. Hope this helps...Moni

Re: A site to sell crafts

I think i'll try this..the way i read it it's 20 cents per item, if theres 3 items in 1 picture its 60 cents...but 20 cents per item  is cheap for a 4 month run.... especially if it doesn't sell...
thanks.

Re: A site to sell crafts

Hi Gwyneth

I have two shops at etsy both closed at the moment but it's agreat site and I have sold items on it. Read up on the info about the site it has great info, on all the in's & out's of strarting up. But remember it is a very  large site and it has thousands of people and selling is sometimes hard first off. There are some smaller UK sites you may like to look at.
Sue.
