I have used it for small details on larger projects eg. forming fingers on hands, I use good quality T.P....usually Charmin and brush the starch on as I add the paper.  It dries really hard but is not that economical for time or money purposes and is not practical for large pieces.  Great choice for detail and smaller stuff.  Liquid starch is the first glue I ever used for PM, this was in grade school, no mixing, easy clean up, great for kids doing strip PM projects also-Kristen
