Hardness result of the recipe found in advanced papermache tutorial?

http://papiermache.co.uk/tutorials/some … e-recipes/

Hi, I was wondering if the recipe for making hard paper mache is hard enough to make armor that can withstand minor hits and not break or damage? Also, does the recipe make pulp that can be sculpted or a paste that you take strips of paper and dip it in like regular paper mache? Im kinda new at this paper mache stuff and any help or advice would really be great.

Hi!

The tutorial for advanced papier mache will make a pulp to sculpt with. It should be strong enough for your needs, if you don't whack each other *too* hard that is! smile

To withstand reasonable blows, use layers with strong kraft paper and a thin pulp.  This would need a higher content of PVA (white) glue.
