moulds

Hi,
I use plaster of paris moulds with pulp.I've recently started using PCP30 cellulose fibre and have found that it sticks to the mould more than previously.I have tried varnishing the moulds and using vaseline but haven't acheived consistant results!  Just wonderd if anyone had any ideas before I start changing pulp recipe.Any ideas on speeding up drying time would be good too! Thanks  Lydia

Re: moulds

I use murphy's oil soap for my plaster molds.
What is PCP30 cellulose fibre like?  Where do you buy it?

Re: moulds

hi dd,
thanks for your reply.
PCP30 is the stuff you can add to clay to make paper clay .I use it for papier mache using my usual recipe but without having to rip up and boil loads of paper ! I've only just started using it so I havent experimented with it much yet, so far I've been able to get a smoother finsh but I do need to tinker with my pulp recipe a bit !
Paperclay Products website is at http://www.paperclay.co.uk .
Hope thats some use; what kind of objects do you make ?
