Does this happen to you?

I'm too tired to work on my paper mache. But I'm restless, and think I should be accomplishing something! Does that happen to you too?

Sheesh! I got a zillion ideas but only two hands!

The good news is that Gus is almost ready for paint. I gotta do a little sanding on a small area (where his shoes attach), then gesso it.  I'll do that before I go to bed so he's ready to paint tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'm trying to figger what I can do. But my arthritis is hurtiing and I'm tired. This is making me angry!  :x  I got fish to make, butterflies to make, and I want a chicken, and a mirror, and... and... and....

HELP! I'm compulsive!   lol

Re: Does this happen to you?

Welcome to PM Mania!

I've got a kind of mental block going on right now, plus a lot of other things happening.

But I want to make a realistic, lifesized 3D cat.  The last one ended up looking like a gene-splicing pig experiment. I didn't tell the cats that it was supposed to look like them.  They would have laughed themselves into a coma.

And I want to make a large sphere lined with crystals.

Then, just the other day, I was watching my four chickens, and thought that a flock of PM chickens would be nice to have around (lifesized, of course).

Having to work is a pain in the fanny. It cuts into my days...

ha ha ha hah ha haaa!  Too funny!   lol

I've got images in my brain I'll never get out!

See there! That's another good idea for paper mache -- cross a pig with a cat!  There's just too many ideas. Maybe I should be an idea man instead of a goopy fingered worker. So where do buy minions? I need minions!!

Lengo make sure you jot all your ideas down. I've got things drawn on old envelopes, post it notes any old bit of paper. There all pinned to my wall like some crazed code breaker, you know the sort of film where they break in and find the wall covered in strange messages and drawings  smile .

Catperson the Pigcatto sounded great. I like the sound of your new ideas too.

I should really give your idea a try snoozysnowshoes. Even if it is to take a little bit a time a day to brainstorm on new papier-mache projects to keep me excited about PM.

Plus the walls are bare in my art room. I am sure it would make things a little more intersting. *laughs*

I also try to keep a tablet of paper & a pen at my bedside, to write down those ideas that pop into my mind just as I'm going to sleep.

Re: Does this happen to you?

Another thing that's happening to me:  I'm ready to paint something, and have tried color scheme tests. Though I'm satisfied with a scheme, I'm reluctant to start painting for fear of using the wrong base color. Does this happen to you too? What do you do for confidence? I certainly don't wanna screw up now!

Me too.  big_smile So I´m not the only "crazy" one with a pencil and a sketch book at the bedside...
I´ve got the best ideas when I lie in my bed and the full moon is shining on me. And why wasting time with waiting for sleep to come? It´s better to wake up because the pencil you use is pricking your back  big_smile
