Tree Bark

Hello everyone.. I am new and bin looking for infomation about Pappmache.

First of all please forgive my poor spelling in english. I am from germany smile

I would like to ask if anyone her ever made a large tree.  my idea was for my unkle, he is making a terrarium room and do design it i thout to make a 1:1 Tree in one of the corners of the room  a Branch will also be made till in the middel  of the room and lamps wil be bild in so is fnuktional as a room lamp.

My question is i dont realy have a idea how i should make the ruf bark. If anyone could give me some tips or a websit were i can see a tutorial that would be very nice. i havend had any experianz in pappmache forming so this is my first project.

if anyone whant to see a picture how the bark should look just post so and i will post a picture.

Hi PatrickB

I make relief trees much smaller than the one your attempting. I use kithchen paper alot it allows you to mess about with out it falling apart on you. I find you can squeeze and pucker up the surface of the paper and it gives a rough bark texture.
