Foreign Currency & Transactions

Hi Jackie.

I have a few questions for the international members of this forum.

1.  What is your preferred means of payment from American
     customers?

Checks, PayPal, International Money Orders, Visa/Master Card?

2.  Have any of you made purchases from American mache artists?  If
so, which method of payment did you use?

3.  Have any of you had problems with PayPal or credit cards over the
     internet?

Thank you in advance for your responses, as this will help me understand more about the world-wide marketplace.

Regards to All! smile

Re: Foreign Currency & Transactions

Hi Rozani,

Interesting question! Speaking generally for the British, I'd say definately not cheques! Our banks charge us an enormous handling fee. Paypal seems to be the "in" method of payment at the moment.

Re: Foreign Currency & Transactions

Hi Rozani
I have used Paypal both to buy and sell with out any problems. Some buyers do Not like to use Paypal because of having to list their credit Card and sign up with them.
I used it mainly for Ebay sales, the problem is that if like me you charge “actual shipping” a % of the Total cost goes to Paypal, so if the cost of the item is low and the shipping high it really can eat a chunk out of the gross sale.
I have heard of sellers having problems with payPal but my experience thus far has been good
