Problem with Linseed oil overpaint

I prepared a Picture cum Papier mache on a Ply Board (ie instead of drawing I used papier mache to generate the picture).
After finishing the picture I used a solution of white glue+water+titanium white acrylic paint to coat the surface. after drying it for some days I gave it two coatings of linseed oil on it. Now I wish to paint it in acrylic medium. I understand that it was a mistake on my part to provide such a coating of linseed which now refuses to dry.
Is there any way by which I can revive the surface?

I have learnt much from the discussions in this forum altough I am rather new. I hope to find my answer.

Thanks to all

Rahul

Re: Problem with Linseed oil overpaint

I did the same thing to three precious projects after hearing so much about linseed oil and paper mache. Dave Osborne (dopapier in the gallery/forum) advised me to take off as much of the oil as I could with tissue or soft cloth.  You may even have to clean it quickly with rubbing alcohol.  In the end, you'll probably have to apply one-two more layers of Paper mache.  I tried just cleaning one and painting it Without the extra layers and the paint came out  uneven and yucky looking.  I highly recommend putting on another couple of layers of paper-Save yourself headaches and expensive paint.
