I want to make some Christmas tree ornaments using small balloons as the form. How do I get a relatively smooth finish so that I can paint and laquer them?
you paint them with gesso..(its a thick base color..that can be found at art shops..cost something like a regilar acrilik paint..)..
and after it drys.. you rubb it with send (or glass) paper..and it should come nice and smooth..
