This guy is the companion piece that was commissioned to go with the earlier 'queen' piece. He measures approximately 3 1/4' x 4 1/2'. Like the queen, his plaque-style background was made using strips of newspaper over cardboard and pulp. The figure itself is pulp sculpted directly onto the background for a relief effect. And if the two were to be positioned side by side, we could see that he only has eyes (and a bowl of refreshment) for his queen. Fun stuff!
