All paper mache - bowl is about ten inches tall, and birds are life-sized. All feathers were individually cut and glued in place.

Gorgeous! Wonderful, delicate, subtle wings! This is a very magical piece, I really like the luminous effect of the gold and the chrystal. I've used gold-foil to get this same kind of effect, very satisfying. Must be a bowl for a druid.

Thanks Scylla! This piece took me almost five months to complete. The gold is a combination of three different gold paints layered over and over until I was happy - I think about twelve layers. The egg in the middle of the bowl is actually a paper-mache egg painted in the same golds.

The "12 layers" paid off. It is a gorgeous surface. I'm amazed at the look of the golden egg, I would have sworn it was made of a transparent material. Excellent work.
