Not sure if I can post this one here although its base was / is papier mache!
The body is papier mache covered with brown velvet and hand painted yellow and black paper, the wings are a wire structure wrapped with some lace tissue. Legs are wire with papier mache "muscles".
For the flower I used an amount of paper straws all glued together (to give the idea of the interior of the flower) and hand cut and painted yellow and green petals.

Excellent piece! I really like how you did the wings out of lace; I've never seen anyone approach insect wings in that manner, and it looks great.
