First attempt: "Book" bowl

I am a writer, reader, and book lover. I especially like to use old (read garbage bound) books for new projects. This was my first attempt at papier mache. It's quite basic, but I'm happy with the way it turned out. It gives me lots of other ideas. I still have some things to figure out, such as a simple, glossy, non-tacky finish. I used mod podge paper, but two weeks later and it's still tacky. Bummer. Anyway, as I said I'm happy with the first attempt.
