The River

Details

This sculpture is inspired from the text of Dante's Inferno. In the Inferno he mentions the river of souls traveling to hell.

The body of The River is a papier mache form covered with the countries with terrible human rights. The red silk represents the people that pass through and their blood!

The sculpture is approx 75cm wide and 3 meters high

This is beautiful! I've just starting to explore the possibiliets of working with Papier Mache and your work is proof that the medium is limitless! Beautiful.

Fantastic. Are you planning on expressing other strong emotions through your mediums too?
