This is a mini mask inspired by Dan tribal art. I sculpted nonhardening clay into the mask shape, then employed the papier mache strip method. The hollow form was filled with mache pulp to make a solid form. To complete this piece, I sanded it to a very smooth finish and applied numerous coats of acrylic and matte varnish.
