Introduction

I am a papermaker based in East Kent, UK, where I produce sheets of handmade paper using local materials. From this, I make bowls and sculptural items, often using the paper before it is dried, so that it retains its flexibility. I also find that the undried sheets bond together without glue (this is not something you can do with wetted sheets of paper, just newly-formed ones).

I make pulp pictures of local scenes using recylced paper pulp and collected materials, often from the site depicted. More details on how to make paper, and examples of my work can be seen on my website.
