Papier Mache Fat Fairies in an unknown shop in Lyme Regis??

Whilst on a holiday in Lyme Regis I happened upon a small gallery/shop selling a range of papier mache statues of fairies/ladies. They were rather rotund and in various sizes. I think they were fairies, I
know there was a 5oth birthday one which I would love to buy for my Sister's 50th. Can anyone help as to who makes them or where I can obtain one - unfortunately I live in West Yorkshire so am unable to get down to Lyme Regis in time for her December birthday.
Please can someone help :?:

Re: Papier Mache Fat Fairies in an unknown shop in Lyme Regis??

I don’t know whether you are still looking for fat fairies.  I have seen what I think may well be what you referred to.  They are lovely little figures, about 100mm tall, elderly, full bodied, humorous, excellently modelled.
I suspect that they are plaster castings, not papier mache (which would not really render such detail), on sale at £6 in Godfreys of Lowestoft.  A label gave the name ‘Murray Ltd’.
I guess that if you wanted one, you could contact Godfreys tel: 01502 516298 or website  http://www.godfreys-online.co.uk  .  They are very helpful.
