Help!

We are creating a cave around an 8'x16' trailer for a homecoming parade float. We have created the effect of the cave with chicken wire and have begun applying papier mache to the chicken wire. We used a paste mixture of Elmer's glue, water and flour. We are using unprinted newspaper material. We started trying to apply the mache down the sides of the trailer and are having a real hard time getting the paper to stick at the bottom.  sad

Can anyone help me with a better way to do this?

Re: Help!

You are using pulp presumably? Did you put anything over the chicken wire before starting to add the papier mache? If you didn't, try wrapping some masking tape over it first. I would also advise putting on some layers of papier mache first (you don't have to use small strips, in this case larger pieces will do). When you have a covering of this, your pulp will stick to it much more easily.
