I have been trying to make 3-4 foot stems for flowers, I have used coathanger wire and thinner wires wrapped in newspaper and then layed with paper mache. They are too bulky or they crack.
I tried fabric with wall paper paste over the top of one of my broken stems, yesterday, that seems to be fairly stable. but I haven't tried to paint it yet. I wonder if it will last?

Any comments?
I don't want to reinvent the wheel.... so if anyone has a method already please let me know...
